Grid Elements for TYPO3 14 and 13

• Development — The version is completed and is then intended for production projects.
• Access — Available through Priority Access from completion onwards, for a fee.
• Public release — Free in the TER once the next TYPO3 LTS version has been released.

Completion and publication in the TER are two separate points in time. The TER date says nothing about the state of development.

Gridelements is far more than a solution for simple container structures. The extension follows an independent and comprehensive approach that combines flexible layouts, editorial control and comfortable visual handling.

Gridelements supports flexible and nested grids, visual configuration, real references, fine-grained permissions and a wide range of convenient features for demanding editorial workflows. With the Drag-In Wizard for new content elements, a proven unique feature returns to drag-and-drop handling.

Layouts can be created and managed directly in the TYPO3 backend, through Page TSconfig or using file-based configuration, depending on the requirements of the project. This makes Gridelements suitable for professional development workflows as well as for integrators and appropriately authorised backend users.

Its strengths become particularly clear on larger websites, in complex content structures, across multiple editorial teams and in projects with different roles and responsibilities.

Gridelements is not only kept compatible with current TYPO3 versions. The extension is being technically modernised and, with its integrated range of features, continues to set standards for demanding TYPO3 projects.

The testing strategy for Gridelements has been significantly expanded. Alongside unit tests and functional tests, JavaScript tests are also being used.

This allows changes to be checked more reliably and helps to identify issues at an earlier stage. At the same time, it creates a more stable foundation for supporting future TYPO3 versions in a controlled way and with reduced risk.

The development and maintenance processes are also being prepared for forthcoming requirements concerning software security, documentation and the responsible handling of vulnerabilities. This includes engagement with future requirements arising from the Cyber Resilience Act.
